Certification is the one thing that will differentiate you from other wedding professionals and demonstrate a level of professionalism to your clients. This program incorporates both the Wedding and Event Institute and the Caribbean Academy of Wedding and Event Planning.
The Academy Certification Program is open to anyone and not reliant upon being part of an association like other programs are. It is an accreditation program where participants must complete one of our courses or proof of educational hours and a minimum of three years in business, which can be achieved in a variety of ways. It promotes the need for continued education in the wedding industry and raises the bar of our industry.
The designation is supported and managed in association with the Academy Advisory & Certification Board. This board is made up of renowned wedding professionals and is the only independent board of its kind within special event education.
We have four basic certification badges that you can apply for and dependent upon the course you take or the experience you have you can apply for more than one badge. Our certification badges are as follows:
- CWP – Certified Wedding Planner
- CED – Certified Event Designer
- CEP – Certified Event Planner
- CDWP – Certified Destination Wedding Planner
If studying our Wedding and Event Planner certification course you can apply for both the CWP – Certified Wedding Planner and CEP – Certified Event Planner. if studying our Wedding Planner and Designer Certification course you can apply for both CWP – Certified Wedding Planner and CED – Certified Event Designer.
We provide digital badges for you to display on your marketing material, social media and website. You will also receive a printed certificate to frame for your office, which is your official certification, along with the transcript from your course.
