Is the Diploma in Wedding and Event Planning the right course for me?

This course is ideal if you have a love for both weddings and other special events, and you are highly organized and ace at planning. This is an entry level course designed for those of you looking to gain the knowledge and skills you will need to plan and produce weddings and events to perfection. This course will hone your skills for planning and management so you will be ready to take on any type of event.

What are the career options after I graduate?

Most people who take this course are looking to launch their own business as a wedding and event planner. Although some of our graduates also gain employment on a wedding and event planning team within a larger company. The kind of events you can expect to work include: private weddings and parties, corporate meetings and conferences, ticketed events such as sporting events, festivals and expos, industry events such as fashion shows, product launches and award ceremonies, as well as public events such as those ran by local communities and charities. This course includes business and marketing units so you will be ready to launch your planning business before you graduate.

When can I start the course?

All our courses are online which gives you the flexibility to learn anywhere and at times that suits you. So you really can fit your course around your lifestyle. Many of our students study whilst having a full time job and/or looking after a family.

How long will the course take me?

That really depends on how much time you can devote to your studies per week. There are no set deadlines for the individual assignments. Some students have completed this course in 6 months or less and others have taken the full 2 years allocated for completion.

I have no prior wedding or event experience. Can I still take the course?

Absolutely! Everyone has to start somewhere and this course is perfect for entry level candidates. We will start you with an introduction to the event industry and world of weddings and build up from there. We will cover everything you need to know including budgets, managing suppliers, production, marketing, how to launch a business and more. Once you enroll you will be assigned a dedicated tutor who will mentor you through your course and provide comprehensive feedback on your assignments.

Is there any help I can get with course fees?

Yes! We know that paying for your course when you have other financial commitments can be a strain so we have designed a variety of payment plans to allow you to spread the cost over 6 or 12 monthly instalments. However, if you are able to pay in full you will make the most saving on your course fees.
